How to Opt-in your NEM account using your Ledger device

Prerequisites:

• Your Ledger device is connected to your computer.
• Both NEM and Symbol apps are installed on your Ledger device.
  • NEM x Ledger device tutorial (follow Steps 0-2)
  • Symbol x Ledger device tutorial (follow Steps 0-2)

1. Launch the NEM Wallet

2. Click Login
   
   

3. Click Login with LEDGER NANO
   
   

4. Select Mainnet network, then click Next.
   
   

5. A popup window will appear to confirm login on your Ledger device.
   NOTE: Your Ledger device should be unlocked and the NEM app should be open.

6. Approve login on your Ledger device.

7. Once accepted, you will be redirected to the NEM Wallet dashboard.

8. Go to Services > Symbol Opt In, then click Claim XYM and Namespaces with Symbol Opt In.

9. Click Ready

10. Click Import Symbol Account
    NOTE: You need to switch from NEM to Symbol app on your Ledger device.

11. Approve the transaction on your Ledger device

12. Once approved, click Next. 

13. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions, then click Agree.

14. Click Confirm Opt-in to proceed.
    NOTE: You need to switch again from Symbol to NEM app in your Ledger device.
